Career and Academic Opportunities

Public Health Education majors complete courses specific to health promotion and disease prevention by way of programs, policy, and proposals rooted in evidence and best practices to address health disparities and inequities. Students graduate with a strong skill set in design, delivery, evaluation, and advocacy on the behalf of vulnerable populations. The M.P.A. provides PHE students with an educational experience that will strengthen these skills as they relate to leadership, equitable resource allocation, and administration. As a result of the PHE/MPA pathway, possible career paths can be pursued in the following areas: public and non-profit policy and management, healthcare administration, and leadership roles in community healthcare settings, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
